Falsely accused, but still a monster

He might have been the subject of internet rumour-mongering and false accusations of being the person responsible for today's massacre at Virginia Tech, but despite his protestations of innocence Wayne Chiang is no better than the man who killed 32 people, wounded more, and left a town mourning and a country in shock.

Chiang believes that guns should be allowed on the Virginia Tech campus.

"I am a firm believer that if Virginia Tech students were allowed to conceal carry, this situation could have ended sooner."

Wayne Chiang is a gun-toting cowboy who would have gladly seen even more people brandishing guns that day, with the inevitable end of a shoot-out to shame the OK Coral!

It doesn't concern me that Wayne is being falsely accused - one look at his blog and I'm instantly repulsed.

Care factor zero from me!

My heartfelt sympathy does, however, go to all the families, friends and neighbours affected by this awful tragedy across the globe.

PLEASE .... will the USA consider gun control laws to protect its own people?

  1. There will always be people who believe that if everyone has guns, then it'd be safer.

Gun control in America these days is a fairly academic argument... every idiot already has one, and there's no way you'd be able to take it away from them.

Bring in "bullet control" though... $5000 / round and a license to buy ammunition. If you're gunna kill someone, you better save up for it first :-)

  2. The thing I look at is this:
There ALREADY WERE laws saying no guns on campus, and he ignored them. What part of criminal, aka law-breaker, doesn't get through? If we outlaw guns completely, then the only people who have them will be those who disregard our laws. In other words, the criminals. At least with some gun rights, there's a chance you'll be able to protect yourself from someone breaking into your home and threatening your family. I'm not sure I like the idea of allowing students to CCW on campus, but it MAY have helped, I can't know, nor can anyone else. There may hace been a myopic buffoon who killed more innocents trying to shoot the gunman, or there may have been a professional shooter who'd have pegged him in the head first shot.
In addition, a gun ban would never work in the U.S., we're just too rooted in our past. We only have our country because people had guns to throw off British Rule. Even IF it was made illegal to buy or import guns in the U.S., we share two of the longest open borders in the world, and at least one of those isn't on the most law-abiding location...

  3. Wow, you think someone who believes in gun rights is "NO BETTER" than a man who brutally killed 32 people?!?

  4. You might want to investigate the meaning of the term "libertarianism" before affixing it to your blogging identity. I have provided a link for your perusal.
